What is a remodel?
Remodel vs. Renovation: Understanding the Difference
Remodel = change how a space works
Renovation = upgrade what already exists
Breeden Electric performs both, but remodeling projects require deeper electrical planning due to layout and usage changes.
Remodel
A remodel involves changing the layout, function, or structure of a space. This may include moving walls, combining rooms, converting spaces to new uses, or reworking floor plans. Electrical systems must be redesigned to support the new configuration.
Renovation
A renovation, by contrast, focuses on updating or restoring existing systems without altering the overall layout or structure.
WHY REMODELING ELECTRICAL WORK IS DIFFERENT
Remodeling introduces unknowns. Walls are opened, systems overlap, and conditions evolve. Successful electrical remodels require:
- Experience working in partially demolished spaces
- Ability to adapt quickly as conditions are revealed
- Strong communication with the project team
- Careful planning to avoid rework and delays
Our experience allows us to expect challenges and maintain control of the electrical scope.

what people are saying
Our reputation is built on being a dependable trade partner who understands the realities of remodeling work.

New owner Adrian is very nice and solved my hot water issue. Bralen made quick work of adding an outdoor outlet for my pond fountain. No charge on the water heater, $200 for the outlet. Will definitely use Breeden Electric again.

Top notch electricians; very professional. We’ve used Breeden for several projects around our house; from installing an EV charger, new wall and floor outlets, and custom cabinet lighting. Without exception they have exceeded expectations.
